STREAMING Any enterprise can benefit from streaming What you need to Begin Streaming Today!
To use video streaming you need:
What if I don’t have existing media (video)? Don’t have video? If you do not have a production company or agency source, we can refer a partner in your area to provide a quote and provide production services. (See third party services for a list of video production companies, web designers and website hosts.) You may produce the video yourself and mail or upload the media to this Website after opening an account with us. Many camera shops rent Video Camera's with editing capabilities. Most cities have video production companies with complete production, editing and voice-over capabilities.I have media (video). Open account, upload video: Select an account which is best for you. (See Plans and Pricing here.) When you have opened an account, we provide many site utilities to manage your account including uploading files. (See MY ACCOUNT page.)Video must be FORMATTED. It is necessary to have your video in a Internet friendly digital format. You can 'encode' your videos yourself, using the free tools on our CLIENT SITE, or your video production company or us, Media Webcasters, can format your video for a nominal charge upon request. The standard formats are AVI, MPEG, and MOV. We also provide a convenient UPLOAD tool to transfer your encoded video from your machine to our servers. What do I do with the URL Address you send me for my media? Website: You or your Webmaster may wish to create a space on WebPages for each piece of media. The size or aspect ratio should be 3 wide by 4 tall. You may leave this "handler window blank" or use a picture or graphic where the video will play. This graphic can contain instructional text such as "Click here to view products." Some companies have a separate "welcome" video from product and service videos. We also provide at no charge, an automated "video window generator" (on our Client Site) that will embed your video clip into a generic HTML page for you. Email: A URL address can be pasted as a text hyperlink in your email or as a graphic box if email will be sent as HTML (graphics, color, pictures). The email recipient selects the hyperlink with their mouse to begin playing the video stream. It is that simple to include video in your outbound email. How many videos do I send you? You decide how many independent videos are best. Since we charge by the "click" many companies prefer to have a separate "welcome" homepage video for all visitors to view. There are other videos for products, services, capabilities, training or special announcements. You are only charged a "click" when a website visitor or email recipient CHOOSES to watch a video. There is NO CLICK charge if a video is not selected for viewing. How much is a CLICK to stream video? Media Webcasters charges by the click with a base rate of just 10 cents per minute based on the length of each piece of media. A 60 second video would have an associated 10 ˘ click charge. A 90 second video would have a 15 ˘ click charge and a 120 second video a 20 ˘ click charge. When a viewer selects and begins viewing streamed media at your website or in your email, the entire click charge is incurred even if the viewer terminates watching the video before the conclusion. When you open an account with us there is an option of having your streamed video play automatically when a visitor enters your website or opens your email . . . or . . . upon request with a "mouse click." It makes sense to have a shorter, compelling WELCOME video for all website visitors. Then separate videos explaining products, services or special company features. However for some enterprises one video is sufficient.
What
does it cost to produce media suitable for streaming? The cost for producing a couple of minutes of video which can be edited into 1 or more videos can cost as little as $ 1,000. For some companies this is a sound investment to enhance their marketing campaign that will attempt to drive sales prospects to the Website where video provides a compelling reason to do business with your company. Video can be your best salesperson and provide a competitive advantage. Do I have to sign a contract? NO . . . We bill a credit card at the beginning of each month for the level of service you select, plus any overage charges accumulated during the previous month. You may stop your service at anytime. Large volume users or government customer’s with valid purchase orders may be invoiced. Contact customer service for more details. View different Streaming Video pricing plans. Need more information?
